  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, EEO, ADA).
  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks through training, audits, and internal controls.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbooks in line with legal requirements and corporate standards.
  • Oversee HR systems (e.g., Paycor, SAP SuccessFactors) and deliver data-driven HR insights.
  • Manage HR departmental budgeting and resources.
  • Provide leadership to a geographically dispersed HR team, including Plant HR and Health & Safety staff.
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites across the U.S. to support plant-level HR and safety initiatives through regular site visits.
  • Promote consistency in HR practices while allowing flexibility for site-specific needs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with 5+ years in manufacturing.
  • Proven success in a multi-site, union/non-union manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. labor law and occupational safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple HR functions, including Health & Safety.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in organizational change management and workforce development.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycor, SAP SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to U.S. manufacturing facilities.
  • Professional HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) required.
  • Safety-related certification (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP) is a plus.

Why Join Sofidel America?

  • Lead strategic HR and safety initiatives for one of the fastest-growing tissue manufacturers in North America.
  • Join a dynamic, values-driven organization committed to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
