Addison Group is working with a prestigious law firm in downtown San Francisco to fill a Legal Administrative Assistant role. This is a temporary opportunity expected to run through July, with the potential to convert to long-term or permanent employment depending on business needs. Job Description:

The Legal Administrative Assistant will support a group of attorneys by managing calendars, coordinating travel, handling legal documentation, and assisting with time entry and expenses. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a law firm, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange domestic travel
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical legal files
  • Enter time, process expenses, and support billing activities
  • Serve as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal staff
  • Support a team of attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Collaborate with legal admins and paralegals to ensure timely task completion

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a legal administrative assistant (5+ preferred)
  • Experience in a mid-to-large law firm setting
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with document management and legal billing systems (iManage, Elite, 3E, Chrome River, etc. – preferred, not required)
  • Proven experience with calendar management and travel coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must have consistent work history – candidates with frequent job changes may not be considered

Additional Details:

  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Monday–Thursday, remote Friday
  • Standard business hours; paid OT available but rarely required
  • Must complete assessments prior to interview (Microsoft Office, grammar/spelling, and typing test – 50 WPM minimum)
  • Interview process includes two virtual interviews
