We are seeking a Junior Media Planner and Buyer to support our media planning and buying team in executing strategic, data-driven advertising campaigns. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for media planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with media strategy, vendor coordination, budget tracking, performance analysis, ad trafficking, and managing outside vendor contracts and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Planning & Execution:
Assist with media strategy development, collaborate with internal teams, and monitor media performance. Stay updated on industry trends and maintain relationships with vendors.
Vendor Management & Contracts:
Evaluate and manage media vendors, develop RFPs, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance. Oversee contract renewals and vendor performance, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.
Negotiation & Budget Oversight:
Negotiate rates with vendors, track budgets, and monitor spending to maximize ROI. Reconcile budget discrepancies and communicate with account teams.
Retail Media Networks:
Plan, execute and maintain RMN campaigns across multiple clients.
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
Set KPIs, track campaign metrics, optimize performance, and provide post-campaign insights to improve future strategies.
Ad Trafficking & Creative Coordination:
Create trafficking briefs, ensure correct delivery of creatives, and troubleshoot ad serving errors. Collaborate with creative teams to align assets with media strategy and ensure seamless creative handoff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in media planning, buying, or digital advertising preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret media performance data.
Familiarity with media buying, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
Proficiency in Excel and data tracking tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of paid social, programmatic, Retail Media Networks, and media buying is a plus.
