SUMMARY
Provides Unleashed Customer Service. Performs the proper grooming of dogs and cats in accordance
with the company's grooming policies and procedures.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Delights Pet Parents and helps achieve PetSmart's DOG strategy that stands for "Delighting our
Customers," "Operating Excellence" and "Growing Services".
Bathes and grooms all breeds of dogs to breed specific standards and must be able to meet the grooming
requests and personal preferences of the Pet Parent.
Performs grooming tasks safely.
Independently performs all essential bath/brush skills, such as selecting appropriate shampoo and
conditioner treatments, bathing, drying, cleaning ears, trimming nails, brushing teeth, brushing and
demattting all coat types (flat, curly, drop, wire and double coats), shaving pads of feet, shaving belly and
sanitary area, etc.
Helps meet or exceed department sales goals.
Knowledgeable on all salon services.
Knowledgeable on all current salon promotions and incentives.
Maintains detailed customer history by recording services performed on pets in the TouchPoint computer.
Able to check in/check out pets including proper filling out of client records/receipts, filing of salon
records, call back programs, booking and entry of appointments in appointment book and Touchpoint.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions for all pets in the grooming area.
Maintenance will be performed throughout the day, including end of day cleaning in accordance with the
maintenance checklist.
Answers phone and makes appointments. Performs reminder calls.
Completes required training as required.
Assists and works in other departments as required. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SUCCESS FACTORS
High school diploma or GED are preferred. Prefer a minimum of 1 year of professional grooming
experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposure to
live animals and their handling is common.
