**Responsibilities** ****Offering a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualfied nurses (External applicants only)**** **Program Summary:** Under the direct supervision the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of care of the newborn and obstetrical patients through the deployment of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The incumbent directs and guides patient teaching activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards for professional nursing. The position reports to the Director Perinatal/Quality \#RN@DH **Qualifications** ****Offering a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualfied nurses (External applicants only)**** **Experience** Labor and Delivery experience required. 1 year recent hospital experience **Education** AA degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing BS degree in nursing from an accredited school of nusring (Preferred) **Licensure** Current California Registered Nurse license,BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification. **Special Skills** Ability to function within the limits of State Nurse Practice Act. Conscious Sedation competency **Training** Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course by AWHONN or NCC certification within 6 months of hire (Preferred) **Overview** Mercy Medical Center Mt. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.
