The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.

This role is based at PetSmart’s Phoenix Home Office, where associates currently enjoy the benefits of in-person collaboration while having the flexibility to work remotely one day per week (a “flex workday” with leader approval), and an expected four days in the office. You design with energy, curiosity, and have a sharp eye for detail. With a strong sense of visual storytelling, you know how to bring words and imagery together to create meaningful, on-brand work. 

As a Senior Production Designer, you’re a go-to collaborator who partners closely with designers, copywriters, and project managers to create compelling visuals that move fast and make an impact. You handle multiple projects with ease and deliver with speed and consistency.

You take feedback with a growth mindset, adapt quickly, and always keep the bigger picture in mind. You're not just checking boxes—you’re thinking strategically and pushing the work to be better.

You’re fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS . You have a passion for technology and how it can make us more effective and efficient. You’re a master at production files including file prep, formatting, and risk mitigation.  

You’re proactive, resourceful, and ready to grow. Whether collaborating with a team or working independently, you show up with ideas, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering high-quality creative—every single time.

Creative Senior Manager, Store

Key Responsibilities:

• Create clean, organized, and accurate designs that align 1:1 with creative design briefs, ensuring clarity for printers and design teams.
• Work closely with team to ensure creative assets are optimized for print while maintaining a dynamic and agile approach to asset creation.
• Utilize modern production technologies and tools to speed up the process, from file preparation to final output.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements at all times.
• Extreme knowledge of design techniques. You’re a designer and production powerhouse.
• Conduct thorough reviews of all design assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines, maintaining the highest production standards.
• You’re a self-starter and motivated to move lightening-fast. You own your projects and show extreme accountability. You require very little oversight.
• Identify and resolve design issues such as layout inconsistencies, color discrepancies, and resolution problems to maintain a flawless output.
• Ensure that all production work adheres to brand guidelines, project requirements, and technical specifications, resolving potential production challenges as they arise.
• Partner with designers, vendors, and project managers to ensure seamless handoffs of assets, anticipating potential issues before they arise.
• Perform detailed post-production work on all design assets, ensuring files are tidy, organized, and ready for delivery.
• You don’t only do production, you can design with the best and nothing is too far out of our project scope. You’re a go-getter.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a production artist, graphic designer, or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in print production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Firefly, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
• Excellent understanding of file formats, color theory, resolution, and print production processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that all assets are accurate, polished, and production-ready. Incredible speed. You can do it all.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and project managers.
