State Compensation Insurance Fund’s (“State Fund’s”) Legal Lien team is seeking a motivated Lien Representative or Senior Lien Representative. At State Fund, our Legal Lien Representatives provide representation, consultation, analysis, defense, and testimony on lien cases at the Division of Workers’ Compensation (“DWC”) lien hearings in accordance with regional office/corporate policies.
As a Lien Representative, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by handling, defending, litigating, and resolving workers’ compensation liens.

Location:
The Legal Lien team appears at multiple Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board district offices throughout California. It is anticipated this position will serve primarily in Northern California, specifically in the San Jose, Santa Rosa, Oakland, and San Francisco locations. However, the successful candidates might be assigned to appear at other Boards and locations as well.
However, to facilitate local in-person hearings, the successful candidates will be expected to attend some hearings and other calendar commitments in-person.

Who We’re Looking For:
We invite applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for the Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster classification to apply. While prior experience with liens can be an advantage, it's not a requirement. The positions may also be underfilled at the Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster classification. New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.
